I thank all of you for the prayers for my son's father-in-law! As I noted in the first post, his open-heart surgery was successful. However, he has been in pain since the surgery, and is retaining fluid. I don't know why they can't give him pain medication. Please pray that he gets through this! He couldn't sleep last night because of the pain! It is very discouraging for him and his family. Thank you!
My son's father-in-law is undergoing open heart surgery right now. I ask for prayers for a safe and successful operation, with no complications. (he had a heart attack about a week ago. He is less than 60 with no prior heart condition, and his blood work appeared good. He had covid two years ago. I personally believe that both the covid shots, and covid itself, has produced coronary problems for many people.)
I will post a follow-up message later today (operation is going to be at least 5 hours).
Thank you all!
After hearing about Black Rock, I looked into it, and asked ChatGPT a few questions. Larry Fink is the CEO and largest shareholder, and started Black Rock.
User Does Larry Fink know that "climate change" is a scam? ChatGPT There is no credible evidence to suggest that climate change is a "scam." The overwhelming scientific consensus is that climate change is real, largely driven by human activities, and poses significant risks to the planet.
Larry Fink, the CEO of BlackRock, has been an advocate for addressing climate-related risks. Under his leadership, BlackRock has increasingly emphasized the importance of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors in investment decision-making. In his annual letters to CEOs, Fink has consistently highlighted the need for companies to understand and disclose their strategies for operating in a world undergoing significant environmental and social changes, including climate change.
It's important to rely on scientific research and credible sources of information when forming opinions on issues like climate change. The scientific consensus on climate change is supported by organizations such as the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and the overwhelming majority of climate scientists around the world. Claims that climate change is a "scam" are not supported by the scientific community and can be misleading.
The usual climate change propaganda spit out by ChatGPT anytime I try to "discuss" the topic with it. Fink is also responsible for Black Rock pushing the woke agenda by corporations. It's pretty funny to consider that CEOs main responsibility is shareholder profit, yet they constantly push the woke agenda, which obviously hurts company profits. According to Wikipedia's Fink info: In his 2018 annual open letter to CEOs, he called for corporations to play an active role in improving the environment, working to better their communities, and increasing the diversity of their workforces.[30] This has been taken as evidence of a move by BlackRock, one of the largest public investors, to proactively enforce these targets.[31] In his 2019 open letter, Fink said that companies and their CEOs must step into a leadership vacuum to tackle social and political issues when governments fail to address these issues.[32]
Unless shareholders start calling out the CEOs for the financially irresponsible woke agenda, it will continue.
I was riding my mountain bike at the FDR property in Hyde Park, NY, and a ranger waved me down and said it was illegal to ride on the walking paths. I told him I had been riding there for the past year and a half and nobody every said anything about it. He said, "When I started working here, I thought, "what a great place to ride my bike", and then they told me it was illegal". So basically, he was just mad that someone else was able to do it. But that's not what I'm posting about. I asked him what all the signs with text from some document were, and he told me they were from the "UN declaration of human rights" (I think that's what it's called). I said, "Oh great, another chink from the sovereignty of the U.S.". And I told him to look into "Agenda 21". He was saying it was close to what is in the U.S. Constitution, and it was all good things. So I told him how leftists like to use the guise of doing "good things" on the road to tyranny, and that leftists like to appeal to the emotions of people, without considering the reality of whatever the issue is. I think if we get a chance to have casual conversations with people like this, we might break through to them, just a little. (maybe he'll look up agenda 21) Somewhere in the conversation I said something on the order of, "well, you won't hear about that from main stream media" :)
I had to clear my internet cache in an attempt to fix a Microsoft hijacking of my computer, and lost my automatic sign-in here (and apparently never wrote down my password :) ). I tried a reset, but didn't receive an email to reset it, but noticed that an email is not required here, so I guess I'm stuck with my new I.D.
And as for the Microsoft hijacking:
We bought a new laptop earlier this year and it came pre-loaded with Windows 11, which unknown to us, automatically invoked "cloud" storage on their site, and if any odd things happened with your computer, it would shut it down and require a "bitlocker" key to get your own computer back. This happened once earlier this year and I was able to get the key from the MS website. It happened again last week, and now the webpage on the MS website that provides the key is broken. It appears to be an elaborate extortion scheme, where there is no way to get that key unless you buy additional cloud storage (mine is appparently full). Others have noted that this seems to be the only way to fix this problem. I can't believe it's legal, but it looks like I'm going to have to pay the extortion fee, and there is no guarantee that will fix it, but it did work for others.
