I do not think this will have much of an impact on your husband. This is not pessimism it’s just experience. People do not make choices based on facts. People make choices based on emotions and then select facts that confirm their beliefs to rationalize their position.

So to de program your husband you need to understand what has happened. We have all been subjected to trauma based mind control. Make people fear, then offer them a way to deal with the fear. Explaining this to him, will or help, at least not right now. If you understand it, then you may be in a better place to deal with this.
