Actually a grand niece is your sister or brother grandchild. You are not a great aunt or uncle until your siblings become great grandparents. Look it up

I fully understand what you are saying about having rules at the malls. But I am sorry we also have a duty in this country to protect our children at all cost. That security guard should have told them to call their parents to pick them up and held them in a safe place. He should not have told them to leave the mall immediately. This was unacceptable on his part. If that was your daughter would you be alright with that decision.
