IRAN'S LAST CHANCE: REZA PAHLAVI TELLS IRGC TO SURRENDER OR BURN THE NATION

The "missing" 13th Amendment banned attorneys from serving in public office. (That's an interesting story in itself - look it up.)

It seems to me that reinstating the 13th Amendment is something we should consider as we rebuild this republic. Donald Trump is a good example of how a different perspective can bring rational and unique solutions to running this country that haven't been considered before in our "normal" Congress heavily laden with attorneys.

I'd like to experience a Congress filled with merchants, doctors, engineers, bankers, and bright moms and dads. Especially if they are prevented from serving more than one consecutive term and take no retirement or other benefits from their service. What do you think? Is the US ready for this?

It occurs to me that as much as Tom Homan may accomplish by arresting and deporting illegal aliens, there are so many who need to go that offering an incentive and marketing it widely could greatly assist the effort. Here's what I suggest; feel free to add your ideas as well.

1. If you self-deport and are not arrested before leaving the US, you retain the right to apply to LEGALLY immigrate here in the future. Then you can apply like all legal immigrants, do the work, pay your money and stand in line. Once you are arrested within the borders of the US, you may NEVER legally immigrate here.

2. Also, offer free flights directly to their home country if they turn themselves in and leave voluntarily. You'd probably need to have a phone number for them to call where an agent can help them arrange flights and turn themselves in.

The sooner we help/force these folks to exit the US, the better.

As a retired grant writer, I can assure you that EVERY federal grant comes with a rigid set of prerequisites, conditions and rules concerning how the grant $$ is spent. To give CA $$ without any conditions at all would be highly outside standard federal practice.

We certainly should provide federal $$ to help residences and businesses rebuild from this disaster, but it should be conditioned on the State of CA adopting land management best practices - like controlled burns, prioritizing people over endangered species, and insuring that their fire suppression practices can actually suppress a major fire.

Remember that it was CA's outlandish requirements that caused the insurance companies to decline to renew homeowner's insurance policies in the areas that burned. And where are the new reservoirs that the people funded? They are nowhere to be found. The state needs to make major changes.

You’ve been given a gift. And you’ve been redeemed for a purpose. You now realize He has a Plan for your life. A plan to turn the peoples’ hearts back to Him.

This changes everything.
