My wife is 54 and in good shape and is wondering if she should take the flu shot. She hasn’t taken it in 9 or 10 years. And when she did she always got sick after getting the shot. Thoughts?

I take green tea too (matcha powder), ZH had a useful article:

I eat onions too, but drinking green tea is easier than eating raw onions. These are just supplements or diet, the easiest strategy versus having to deal with drugs or needles etc.
Flu shots, flu vaccines all poke our immune system to get a response. I've read somewhere that flu shots target the strains that are predicted to be prevalent in a given year, so they do not cover everything either. Antibodies go down after a few months, and currently it looks like Covid-19 vaccines are only good for about 6 months, maybe less. No silver bullets.
