Friday the 13th, 1307, the Knights Templar, the military arm of the Papacy, faced mass arrests in France by order of King Philip.

Also thought to be one of the possible ways Friday the 13th gained a Negative connotation. Though the jury is out on the matter and none can say definitively as there’s several possibilities
