While I can't tell if that is JFK, Jr, I can tell you that isn't his plane. He was flying a Piper Saratoga. There is no door/hatch at/above the pilot seat.

Yeah, it is easy to find pictures of the Piper Saratoga. It has 2 sets of doors on the sides, not the top. Also, the plane in the picture has been underwater for a while. Not 18 hours.

That is not a picture of JFK Jr.
