Not yet, my fren... not yet. Sure there is a huge ideological divide in America right now, and it's unsustainable for a unified people. Something will have to give, and I'm not sure how it will manifest. But what we are in right now is most certainly NOT a civil war. Far from it.
We are in that awkward stage that MIGHT lead to war. Such was the case in America in the late 1850s, with some states (and a few cities) in open rebellion against federal law and the Constitution. Today we have southern Calif., Oregon, Washington, and a few others in open rebellion. They have all failed to learn the lesson of the Civil War (1860-1865) and have become quite arrogant in their ways. There is still a chance to enforce a legal remedy to the rebellion.
When armed troops are sent to confront armed rebels in those locations, and bodies start dropping..... THEN you can say we're in a civil war.
