Thank you. Speaking of more modern music, even so called Christian worship music is very self focused. Some of it actually springs from a place of evil like music produced by Hillsong and Bethel. Most of it promoted the unholy Trinity of me, myself, and I. I have challenged people I know to count the number of times in a song self is mentioned versus the Almighty Lord and Savior of the universe. People are unaware of those shifts of the elevation of self as a religion. The theme for most is the refrain, "What have you done for me lately?"
I don't have much use for most modern entertainment - music or film. I don't watch TV. Most of what passes for entertainment these days I find either absurd, mindless, offensive, dumbed down, and promoting a culture of narcissistic degradation of humanity. On the rare occasion I do watch some movie, I am often left regretting the time wasted. I still read and collect books. My house is full of them. I grew up and still enjoy classics, but mostly I am on the hunt for information and constantly learning.
I see a day coming where all information will be digital - a rewriting of history in the making. I guess I am trying to preserve something of our culture in the hopes that one day we may have the opportunity to teach it again. This is the great reset I pray is in our future. I think the next couple of weeks will let us know. God bless you.
a brother by a diff'rent mother ! Good luck -- we may just pull this one off, preserving the best of our people. I take inspiration from the monks in the Dark Ages !

I often wonder what gems may be hanging out in the belly of some obscure monestary somewhere - the treasures we have yet to uncover.
Blessings to you and yours my brother.
