So if Cruz can successfully get congress to agree to this 5-House/5-Senate/5-Justice committee, does Trump have enough dirt on those committee members to push their decision in Trump’s favor? Surely a unanimous committee could sway the state legislators to certify their electoral votes for Trump. Maybe?

State legisators are not accountable to Cruz or the senate, but ONLY to the citizens of their respective state. State legislators have authority under the constitution and only need the courage apnd will to yield it. This is why the pressure is so needed on the local/state level.
