In what type of world can my "assets" be "frozen" until a court has declared me a criminal?

I'd rather not do business with companies that would agree to steal my property/belongings without a court order!

Sounds like these companies are liable for what they've done, as well.

Not that this was the direction you were taking it in, I innerstand. Hopefully this will be the last time [those] particular "laws" will be needed, and we can abandon them.

The IRS has been doing this shit for years. Freeze your account then you get to defend yourself without access to funds for attorneys.
