There's a similar thing in checkers, as when presented with an opportunity to jump, you must, even if it leads to the other person jumping you worse.
Checkers is actually harder to learn to play well than chess. I knew a guy years ago who was just a simple farmer, but he could beat the crap out of almost anyone at checkers.
Perhaps the same could be said of Tai Chi - or many other forms of mind/body training... I LOVE this place and the endless things we are privileged to share / learn here... Thank you, Pede!
Go is very complex as far as possible moves, far more than Chess even, iirc. I enjoy the game but am far from a master at it. The short of it for those who don't play is to remove the liberty from the pieces so they are completely controlled/captured.
