Funny that u bring up Judas. I believe Judas was Jesus most devoted follower. Jesus put him in charge of there money and he is one of the most written about followers. Jesus said " Judas u will betray me". Most people thought it was prophecy but I personally think it was an order. Jesus knew none of the others would follow such orders. Judas did it for christ. Now the others were left in the dark about the plan so they write in bible how Judas was betrayer and how he did it for the money. I believe Judas was put in this role to show how gods plan doesn't always make sense to us and how we cant assume anything about anyone because u never know who is actually fulfilling gods will and ur just seeing it from ur own lense.
Except that Judas killed himself.
Depending on what translation u read. Modern take on it says he returned the silver and repented of his sins and then went and hung himself. Older accounts say he returned silver and repented and then left the area. Either way the point of christ was to take away our sins so to ne he was just the first person. And the other disciples talk about him bad because to them jesus was to perfect and good to be put to death. They followed Christ like a God. He was meant to be followed as a man doing Gods will. If God willith then let it be done. Few would follow God even if it goes against everything they think l. This is true faith
yeah, scripture is pretty clear that Judas didn't make it to heaven.
Now, how on earth would scripture know if he made it to heaven or what his relationship with God was?
Because it is the Word of God?
Haha straight truth right here. We all assume what we assume
Can u give any scripture to show?
Ok if u read that whole thing u see that it's the followers getting together and saying a prayer. Its them saying let this man not do what Judas did. I know there is alot of verses talking bad about him but it's all disciples saying stuff they thought
That makes a lot of sense actually.
Jesus never said, "Judas u will betray me."
Judas was a thief. That is how he is described in the New Testament. To elevate him to some sort of holy guy who did what Jesus wanted is just flat out wrong. The truth is that God gives people opportunities and we make choices. Just like the parable of the weeds, He will allow them to be alongside us and then he will separate us at the end.
My point is the new testament is basically a written story of 4 different peoples view of events. Imagine writing this and ur leader just got put to death and he was perfect in ur eyes. The man that u thought was responsible in ur eyes would be all sorts of negative things. I'm not putting him into a holy guy all I'm saying is God doesn't force anyone to sin. So if God and jesus both knew that jesus would go to the cross. Then he knew someone would betray him and if its pre determined who does it then that takes away from free will. So God needed a faithful servant not a selfish sinner.
