So I was debating with my dad this morning, and maybe I'm a bit confused about why the Georgia legislature couldn't call their own special session to address election fraud. Dad says they could and they were just blaming Kemp to cover their own asses. Why wasn't a special session called? Were they not allowed if Kemp didn't call for it? Will new state congresses come into session and retroactively be able to address election fraud?

They can call a session anytime they want. The Governor has no part in it. Look at it this way. Can the US Congress call a session any time they want or do they need permission from the President? it is the same thing.
So why were they asking Kemp to call a special session?
Good question. If they are co equal does Kemp have to ask them before he does something?
