Ashamed at how fast people are throwing in the towel over there. Even throwing the man that fought for them for 5 years under the bus. Atmosphere was getting unbearable and had to get away from it. Nothing about the past 48 hours has made me feel defeated. Instead I am only filled with questions. Good to see folks here still staying the course.

My spouse feels and acts the same way. “Nothings going to be different. It doesn’t matter who the president is.”
I seriously struggle finding a way to communicate with her about it.
I have the same issue with my wife. I been giving her bits of information everyday. I been doing this for a while, next thing I know she’s asking me “Hey did you hear about this?” I’ll let her tell me what she heard and if it’s misinformation, I reinform her, I usually have already heard and researched it. I’m slowly getting her to understand what’s going on and it’s definitely working. When someone is very complacent about politics, they usually don’t want to talk about it all the time.
With that said, I live in the south and she likes guns like I do, if the shit hits the fan, she’s got my back.
Me three. Having the same discourse/conversation with my husband.
