I'm starting to think "transition of power" referred to Congress, not Presidency
I hope so!! I just watched Trump's speech from last night where he said "transition to new administration". Gawd. But he still has never said "concede" or "Biden" or "President Elect."
Then he just tweeted that he won't be going to the Inauguration on 1/20. Does that mean, like with Lincoln, that there won't BE any inauguration on that date?
Is this all just smoke and mirrors to get the Congressional attack dogs off his trail thinking he's just going to slink off into the sunset a loser who's about to be jailed and punished for saving America from the ones punishing him?
I mean, I admit I didn't see Pence's treason coming, even though I thought his admiration of Trump was a little over the top, the dreamy look in the eyes while DJT spoke—yikes! But I REALLY can't see Trump just wimping up and creeping away without a fight, the day after quoting Lincoln, his favorite president, who famously jailed newspaper owners and closed them down, jailed the Chief Justice, set aside Habeas Corpus, and put the Constitution in a closet while he "protected the Republic and protected the Constitution", another Trump quote from 1/6.
