Is gab better than parler?
AFAIK, Gab has built all their own infrastructure so they can be completely outside the system, beholden to no censorship anywhere. They're run by donations. Andrew Torba (CEO) is outspoken about free speech. He publishes all his "interviews" with MSM in entirety, it's actually kind of funny.
I'm not sure about Parler - I think they've got some bigger money behind them but I'm not sure where it all comes from.
Apple will take down Parler app - unless Parler censors. I like Gab.
Supposedly parler is on amazon. You gotta believe that being thrown off their hosting servers will happen if banning parler from all the app stores is not effective enough at suppressing crime discussions and evidence distribution.
What about Gab?
They were on azure and in 2018 microsoft threatened to expel them from the platform after which point they built and migrated to their own hosted systems.

Both gab and parler have gotten lots slower over the last 24h with all the twitter bans leading to a large migration to these systems, gab appears to be worse off though in their favour it looks like they will be able take the hits better due to already removing the hosted-platform vulnerability that parler is still susceptible to.
I'm sure next up will be attempts to steal their domain (we saw this happen to 8ch) and threats (ddos, extortion etc) against wherever their systems are located and the people that own the network IP blocks.
gab has a better interface imo but it seems parler is where all the cool kids are going.
