Q is a document used by mark and Luke in the bible with the sayings of Jesus. They picked Q because it's all biblical.
17 is the biblical number for victory. The seventeenth is when God flooded the world and had victory over evil.
Source? I've read Mark and Luke probably 100 times each and don't know what you're referring to.
Just look it up.its a debate amongst the scholarly community. They don't know what it is. They think mark and Luke use the same verbiage so it is believed they got there there sayings from some document. They call it Q.
N.t. wright talks about it in his books quite a bit.
