I'm dealing with it in my job. Most people hardly notice. It affects me directly because I deal with a lot of data on a regular basis.
When they moved my personal data (all work data) to the cloud, I got a message stating it should be done within a few hours. The next week I got a message saying the same thing, but apologizing for the delay because of the "unusual amount of data". LOL. This week I was routing around in some of that data because someone needed to know how something was done a few years back. Nothing against our IT people, but their world view is kind of small.
I'm in IT and I've never been a fan of the "cloud".
“There is no cloud. It’s just someone else’s computer.”
I never understood it. The backup plan is, "oh, shit. Now what do we do?"
