Yeah. I know TDW uses CloudFlare so I am wondering if they are going to do the same thing or be bullied into doing it.
CloudFlare is a proxy / firewall / loadbalancer that can be changed easily, for a website, depends more on where are the server located physically (not every country has the same law), and even so, you could have 15 replicas around the globe and they can keep taking them down but with 0 disservice for you cause you have a pool of frontends ( like straming / downloading / piracy websites do ), same could be done for name servers / dns polling them, biggest problem is the domain registrar, that can bother you quite a lot cause you may end up having to change the domain every week or even less, for an app like Parler is different, costs are much higher and data volume to, so either you are ready for this and you take in consideration everything from the first and you have different or multiple hot sites, otherwise you'll find yourself having an entire infrastructure to rebuild and terabyte of data to move across the country / globe in a bunch of hours ( if you are lucky and they just don't size/shutoff the servers ), and that's a pure hell, so, hope and i think the dudes have a BCRP around
As a person who has software development and system admin experience, this sounds like an absolute nightmare situation.
