Looking at 90% of these posts, my 5 year old could bring more thought provoking substance to this board. This board has lost its serious nature in the last couple days.

Exactly this. This place has went nuts in the last 2 weeks. Massive influx from the donald.win people are looking for guidance but yes they get excited about what's going on right now.

The moderators are clearly not doing a very good job. Sadly, they are the only ones that can prevent GA from spiraling down into the same shithole as TDW.
Just as a precaution, I am now looking for alternative sites to GA.

That's because TDW is spilling over to here. That's exactly why I came here, because this is what TDW turned into...Zero reply posts that come so fast there is no time for discussion before they fall off the page. The multiple posts with the exact same information clogging up the 'new' page.

I wrote mods about this last week, and was told they are overwhelmed with work, and they suggested to simply deport the duplicates.
I asked again, how to determine which ones to deport? No response but I am thinking to keep the one that was posted first as much as possible.
If we do that, I think it would help clean up so many posts in which people don't seem to have taken a minute to look to see what is already there.
I didn't know much about boards when I started this whole journey with Reddit, then Voat either and learned as I lurked and read. Perhaps there wasn't quite as much urgency then as there is in THESE circumstances today, but I agree that all the duplicates make it all less useful...for everyone, including new people.
Yes, we need to be welcoming, but I suggest we also need to guide.
