He said he had just gotten off the phone with his girlfriend, who had just spoken to her nephew, who told her that he was ordered for an emergency deployment to Gitmo in the next 6 hours from then.
With that piece of info and what I had just told him, he was taking what I was saying very seriously, and is going to stay with his girlfriend for the foreseeable future.
I know this piece of info is inconsequential to the bigger scope of the picture, but to me it only adds to the validity of it with her nephews sudden deployment to Gitmo.
I take this hopium, even though the chances are not that big. I mean everybody imagine - you call your father (or son, brother) to inform them about what is happening and what are the chances they know somebody who is gong to be deployed to gitmo. I pray you are not trolling/faking (even yo usay no gain, you know that there are millions of people online who post fake info just for the sake of it).
I genuinely had no idea my dad’s girlfriend has a nephew who’s deployed in the service, but it’s not unlikely tbh. But what threw me for the loop was him telling me what I put as the OP.
