Completely unique situation for you. In my case - everybody who lost smell/taste in my circles and network did it for the first time. And lke 15 people in the same year. If it was not due to covid, statistically they would be spread out over past many many years to experience their first ever smell/taste loss. Yet it happened in this particular year for all of them. Statistically impossible to not be a new virus.
