Same sentiment from me.. but before Trump, it was Ron Paul. If our nation was less corrupt, Ron Paul would have made an incredible president. But, Trump opened my eyes to how incredibly corrupt it is on so many levels.
For Ron Paul was the path breaker. Did you know that the 2012 race more or less paved the way for Trump? The RNC made several rules changes during the 2012 fiasco, then it ended up biting them as non of the other non-Trump candidates could get enough state delegations to even attempt a brokered convention.
Their usual 'divide the conservatives while uniting the plutocrat wing' strategy failed, and actually solidified Trump's victory. That plus the recent events involving Fox News fall and the GOP lighting itself on fire feel like such sweet sweet revenge for what they did to Ron Paul.
Edit: Also, Ron's run disillusioned many young Republicans/Libertarians to the whole political process, demonstrating a honest candidate would be stone walled.
Seeing Trump's success after Ron Paul getting 'Bernie Sandered' in the primary makes me more willing to root for a pompous ass like Ted Cruz next run.. But it won't matter since the Democrats will cheat and win no matter what for a while. They might throw us a RINO here and there though... unless THE PLAN works.
