Word is the latest update is going g to block EBS signal. Turning off auto update is NOT enough! It appears that the update downloads to your phone first, but then doesn’t install for a few days, hence why some people are still getting notifications that their phone is going to update soon. If the update has been downloaded to your phone already, you have to turn off auto updates AND delete the update from your phone.
Go to: SETTINGS > GENERAL > IPHONE STORAGE and scroll down to find the 14.3 update. Delete it.
UPDATE: Sorry, I should clarify above: if you turn off your automatic updates too late, the update could already be downloaded on your phone, and will install within the next couple days. So if you are just now turning off auto updates, the update may have already downloaded and now you to delete it before it actually updates your phone’s iOS.
I never have auto update on, and it does say there is an update available but its only 12.something.
I in storage I only see apps. No updates. Does that mean my updates are NOT being auto downloaded prior to manual install?
That I don’t know. In storage mine said iOS 14.3, so I just deleted that. My wife’s phone usually installs the update, and then when I check my phone the update is there, but I have to hit Install manually. If I leave it alone it usually installs within a few days. Someone else just said that even if you turn off auto updates your service provider can still push the update.
Thanks. Ill get my tech friend to review
