Future proves past means that this was an old plan enacted over a longer period of time, and (in my opinion) when it came time for Trump to "lose" to all the rigging and fraud, it is necessary to point at all of the things that was peppered across this entire journey that it wasn't the act of a crazy man starving for power when the military steps in.
