Hey Guys,
Myself and a small team are currently creating a Super Pac where donors will have the option to vote how they believe the money should be spent. The more money you donate the more powerful your vote will be. Where the money goes will be posted on the PAC website.
It is my goal to allow people like us to only support those whom we seem fit. The PAC will NOT support any of the GOP swamp monsters. We will only campaign for politicians that have shown themselves as upstanding Americans and true patriots.
Currently, republican PACs use our money to campaign for corrupt officials and I want to stop that. I truly believe that this could be a revolutionary idea if done right, which is why I need help!
If you are interested and have web development or law experience, we use telegram to communicate as of now. You can find me there as @hyperjammer
If you are interested and don't have or cant download telegram, leave a comment below, and ill figure out ways to reach you!
If this idea is fleshed out like how I envision it we will all benefit greatly. I am however sorry that this is not specifically Q-related, this will be the only time I post this because I disagree with spamming and self-promotion shilling.
(edit) I have seen your comments and want to thank everyone for giving their input. Obviously, the idea will transform and evolve over time, the end goal still remains the same. We want to get our voices heard by politicians. If you have ideas on how we can achieve this end goal shoot me an email [email protected] or add me on telegram.
I think you picked possibly the worst timing ever to post this. Wait two weeks or two months and try again.
Yeah, I figured it was a bad time.
I only chose to post it now because of the uncertainty on whether this sight will even be up in two weeks. Fingers crossed it is, I love this place.
I sincerely apologize for the really shitty timing.
if you don't have law experience or technology experience, you probably don't have adequate fundraising experience.
You should probably try first to get some local candidates fund raised or elected, then state, then hop to national.
If you're just in this for a quick buck because you figure it's easy money- well I can't argue there
I have web dev experience, we are mostly looking for someone who knows what is needed to file with the FCC and IRS.
We also need to know how to legally implement this idea.
At first, we will definitely be small scale and local to a small area.
I am not looking for a quick buck, this will be an uphill battle and most of this work will go unpaid until we grow.
well it helps to have rich friends, and it appears you do not.
After you pay a lawyer to file your paperwork, your target audience for a PAC and Super PAC are persons who have already exceeded their allowable donation directly to the candidate (and they'll probably also donate in full to down-ballot races too) but still want to support that candidate's message.
Then you actually have to spend the money, usually on attack ads dunking on the other guy so it doesn't give any impression that you're colluding with your guy on what your guy wants.
So Billboards and Radio/TV ads
Have any experience with that or you just gonna pull a bernie and hire your wife who has no ad buying experience but takes a 10% commission?
As of this moment voting and politics are dead. The next few weeks will decide if it comes back or not.
I’m not sure I like the biggest donor, biggest voice concept. That’s essentially where we are right now. Those who pay to play. I support a super pac, but money should be given to who the people overwhelmingly support. Maybe allow users to each get a vote and see where it lies.
Many people no longer want to fund the RNC or campaigns of the crooked, so there is money to be had, but the whole point is supporting who the people want, not supporting who has the biggest donors.
What happens if a corrupt rich person donates a bunch of money, and gets a lot of voting power? Maybe limit the max donation limit to say 5k or 10k
I was thinking that the community as a whole decides on what the voting options will be for a certain amount of time. Then those options will be given to a donator to select, making it so everyone, even without large pockets, can at least choose what topics will be voted on.
The actual vote where your money plays a role will be the preselected collection of vote options that the community provided. whichever cause that was given the most money will be the one supported for whatever amount of time is determined.
This is really early stages though, so big changes might need to occur to get this going.
The end goal no matter what will be to get more voices in politics.
This DAO (decentralized autonomous organization) concept is brilliant and I really think it's the future of political movements. It hasn't quite been organized in the right way yet.
Getting the governance mechanisms and incentive mechanisms right is one of the key challenges. But I could foresee a decentralized group of individuals raising money to promote, for example, successful viral campaigns, by posting bounties and then rewarding those bounties to the most successful memes. You would need a mechanism for measuring that success but I understand there are projects like
https://www.2key.network/
That might be able to achieve that. It's a very promising concept and one I've been mulling in my head for a while.
Do you have a telegram account? I would like to ask you some more questions about this.
If not could you give me another way I can reach you?
