if you watch the video that was caught in slow mo the gun kicks up to 45 degrees like a movie.
anyone that's fired a glock knows they do not kick like a dirty harry magnum, its not the movies
glocks you can fire repeatedly almost flat with no kick at all - AND in a defensive situation you would certainly avoid the gun kicking back - and glocks don't kick much anyway.... however - blanks have no kick at all, so you have to act it up.
blanks also produce a much larger muzzle flash, due to it being all powder and no round
