The only thing that could happen is somehow it's thwarted or they have to stand down for some reason.
1.) You don't rush into battle - period.
2.) It takes time to implement everything, getting physical assets in place on the ground - they only had since the 7th Jan it's not very long the US is a biiigggg country to cover, it's not just about DC.
3.) Congress and the Senate reconvene on the 19th so all the swamp is coming back to feed - you wanna rush about the country after them or let them come to you ?
4.) He can get plenty done as President until midday 20th, so why rush to up end that ?
5.) The more scattered the operation is the more resources and more importantly the more manpower you need - so if you have make simultaneous arrests all over the country, the chances of leaks and foul ups increased.
6.) Think of the movies you have seen of drug busts - they don't rush it - they plan it out and they wait until the mother load is being delivered and all the gang is in one place. Easier, more efficient and less likely to go wrong.
If they have to hit multiple places they do it all at the same time and that takes alot of planning and preparations and is best done at the most critical and dangerous time to the enemy.
Biden and co. have to do some kind of inaug - so even if they lame out totally and do it online - well then you know where they all are - and also they then have to come to the Whitehouse afterwards and people will want to come in and congratulate them etc.
