Especially when the Constitution does not explicitly enumerate any presidential Electoral certificate dispute adjudication authority to thr VP. Had Pence "rejected" certificates, that would have been an unconstitutional action. Left would have gone apeshit. Why give them an excuse to initiate hot civil war?
