If you still think Joe Biden will NEVER set foot in the WH and DJT will retain the presidency and be inaugurated on Jan 20 or thereafter, you also clearly believe that DJT is willing to take this thing straight to the brink before bringing the Temple down.

That said, I think the patriots had many reasons for having Pence certify the EC vote on Jan 6. It maintains a sense of strict constitutionality, despite the fact he probably did have a Constitutional power to select which votes he counted.

Furthermore it makes it looks like Pence has split with Trump. Perhaps that is EXACTLY why Pelosi took the risk of publicly contacting him to encourage him to invoke the 25th.

That was a trap...

Pence IS likely compromised, but he is also likely playing a role he's been given.

If he really was a traitor at this moment he'd be trying to authorize the 25th.
