Can someone explain to me why Trump is pushing the vaccine?

I am somewhat new to this and everything is making perfect sense but one thing that is bothering me is why is the president pushing a vaccine that he must know is likely to be harmful and a not needed risk? Thanks

I know two people that have gotten it and they’re fine.

For now. Wait till those ever-multiplying fetal cells kick in, in five years' time. Cancer anyone? Remember that this is still an experimental vaccine. Think of it as pre-beta software (much like what Apple releases nowadays).
