I'm a revelations believer and wanted to know how people feel about watching podcasts where they're talking about esoteric stuff. I would be hardline about it, any spirituality besides Christ would be a distraction, but I recognize God in all things. How do you guys feel about esoteric stuff and venusians and all that?

If alone on an island without the institutions, knowledge, and canonizations of mankind... could you still find the truth of the Gospel?
Welcome to esoterica
There is so much that we don't know that we don't even know what we don't know.
LOVE esoteric stuff! And much of it may turn out to be Science (as with Galileo, Copernicus, etc.) As well, there is such a thing as 'Esoteric Christianity' with its unique perspectives and facets of Understanding. Along with Esoteric Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Taoism, Indigenous spirit, philosophy, etc, etc.
Also I really LOVE (not fear) the 'pagan roots' of holidays, mythology, etc. They all resonate with the 'Divine signature’. Not in every detail of course, but they still contain wonder & beauty.
Many people come to this very question you’re asking. And what can be a huge breakthrough is to realize, ‘God gave me my mind; so maybe God actually wants me to use it.’
‘Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty’. Despite ds attempts to suppress people's higher knowing - humans are not slaves, but heirs.
Your question is great - and - it's also a little 'beyond our human pay grade'. :) Which is likely as it should be. Like poet Robert Browning said, maybe 'our reach must exceed our grasp, or what's a heaven for?
Behind our earthly mental paradigms may be realms with higher, deeper, more coherent ‘blueprints’ of truth, from which 'choirs of angels’ may interact with us as messengers and helpers. Virtually all belief systems agree on angels. Like Narnia’s ‘Further in and higher up.’
But we perceive all this through many ‘lenses' and paradigms. Blind-man-and-the-elephant. As spirit in matter, we all see things merely 'through a glass darkly'. (Kind of like it is, with this whole Q thing! :)
Other faiths, philosophies, heterodoxy, heresies, etc.? Who's right? Others do know God/Truth/Divine, but Christians are said to have the additional blessing to know the 'unknown God’ by Name, being the human face of God as Jesus Christ.
So the esoteric, I think/feel, is one path that many are genuinely drawn to, to explore and discern over. To deepen in Understanding.
Also people some may think of as unbelievers, may actually consider themselves devoutly Christian (such as Anthroposophists, etc.). Just with a particular insight into the infinite esoteric facets of truth, which others may/may not yet share. Like St. Paul said, not everyone is the 'Eye', but together we can function as one harmonious 'body'.
So God and Truth intuitively seem to contain Infinite Unity/Diversity. In the Judeo-Christian revelations, God is YHVH, I-Am-That-Am, Yahweh, ONE. But in those very same books, God is called ELOHIM (PLURAL of eloa, a god).
Similarly in Genesis & the Jewish Sh'ma prayer, the word ECHOD means ONE. 'The Lord your God is ONE - ECHOD. But also, Adam and Eve were made ONE. And at the beginning of Nehemiah, 'All Israel stood before the Lord as ONE'. In another story, the spies returned from Canaan with an ECHOD ('one', but meaning a 'cluster') of grapes.
So even though our minds can be drawn into mis-perceptions amid all this complexity, that's just part of our human condition. Our ongoing search for deeper understanding of life, spirit, universe, truth, etc. is our 'God-given' and yes, unalienable right.
The Creative WORD may well turn out to be another way to look at the divine chord 'OM', or the expressed/spoken cymatic 'vibrational' frequencies, Divine ‘seed thoughts’ and archetypes that seem to underly both our minds and the 'outer' physical architecture of creation.
Being open to the Spirit, prayer, meditation, scholarly focus, etc. welcome truth insights in. And so yes, exploring esoterics (in faith or agriculture or math or music or cosmology, etc...) can add rich layers of knowing to our surface beliefs. Judeo-Christian Scriptures say one day 'They will all be taught by God', and also, 'The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof.' Ps 24:1, 1 Cor 10:26
'Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the LORD'S thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is.' In a good universe, evil is just 'temporary' error; Truth everywhere is the Real.
'All things are yours, and you are Christ's, and Christ is God's.' Or as Q says it, 'Expand your Thinking’.
:)
IMHO, bullshit. I believe christianity and all religions are made up things. Jesus was a real person but the bible is a hoax, a copy from older texts, specially sumerian. I respect christians but it is made up stuff.
I don't know if God exists or not and I am not talking about that.
You do realize that if Christianity was made up, it would be the biggest conspiracy of all time, right? Why would Jews of the time willingly sacrifice their lives for something that was made up?
Yes, I know that. The stories in the bible are real, just the divinity nature of the so called God is made up. He was of flesh and bone, not divine. Many sacrificed their lives in the bible for a flesh and bone being, not a divine one.
I would never question the existence of God. What I question is the true nature of all religions.
