He's afraid to be wrong. He's scared that if he takes the leap into believing something counter to mainstream media and he's wrong that it comes back on him, who he is as a person, so on because the uniparty and mainstream media and Big Tech all punish people if they do so.

It's okay to put your trust into something and be wrong. It's okay to be wrong.
