Facebook was originally a DARPA project called LIFELOG that was cancelled under high scrutiny over individual privacy rights. Craziest thing, the WaPo has a story on 2/4/2004 about the DARPA project LIFELOG being cancelled. If you look up Facebook startup date.....2/4/2004 - they don’t even try to hide it.
