Has he ever said we are a republic before today’s video? I always heard him call us a democracy.

It because we are a Democratic Republic. We are NOT a democracy.

We are not even a Democratic Republic. Our President is elected by electorates, appointed by the State legislatures. Our Senate was supposed to be appointed by the States. The only thing democratic was to be the House.
