Normally I eschew consolidating power for any reason, because no matter how good the use or intent, it can just be twisted and misused later.

But a fraud-based, fear-mongering banana republic oppressing it's people for wrong think is the Godzilla threshhold. "I find "Civil war" and "nuclear winter" are both preferable. Using FEMA or some other tyrannical consolidation of power is permissable. EVERY. SINGLE. LEVER of legitimate recourse has miserably failed, and every widely accepted news network-including Fox-is lying through the teeth about every bit of it. What are we supposed to do?
