It's ten days, then darkness. Not 10 days of darkness.

I'm going to reiterate Wayshuba's comment here because this seems to be lost on everyone. Re-read the drop, folks. I can't say with 100% certainty of the proper interpretation here.

But the way Q wrote the drop, it can just as easily mean ten days and THEN darkness as it could mean ten days of darkness.

And if it was ten days of darkness, why wouldn't Q write that plainly?
