I remember the first time my friend In England used the phrase calm your tits. The next day I wanted to ask if it was a personal saying or a common phrase over there.
I started the conversation relating to some of the sayings I grew up with in the south, notably being told to straighten my act up when I was being dumb, but I lost my train of thought so I told him the moral or the story was to straighten his tits, because he was upset and I wanted to let him know things will blow over.
The next morning I woke up to a video of him at the pub with a bunch of people telling STRAIGHTEN YOUR TITS! And he said it was everyones new favorite expression.
I want to visit Liverpool.
They also have the phrase "tits up" or "tits up in a ditch" which comes from a cow being on her back after falling into a ditch. Profound agitation.
