This is one reason why I think Piglosi approached the Commandant. To get his support because she knows there's no way the NG will stand against even a Battalion of Regular Marines.

NG has got to be for only riot control.

I think the last couple months has likely seen SpecOps performing individual missions all over the globe.

There is a reason Special Operations Command was all moved under the Secretary of Defense in November.
