Except it was new. I live in WA. We didn't have any power outages during or after the storm. Only a day later in perfectly fine weather in my area especially.
I also live in WA and in the county where 90% of the power outages were out as well as my parents place that went out. Getting power restored takes a while out here :)
I just found it so interesting that so much of our area and the states around us went down the next day when things would seemingly be getting better. But, perhaps was simply a time where repairing the grid elsewhere caused downfall for others for a bit.
Yeah I hear you. I guess I'm still under the impression that there's a good chance the whole country doesn't lose power. It could be everything for simplicity's sake, but I feel like it will be targeted blackouts for major areas. Don't see why for ex. in our state of WA that Leavenworth would need to get knocked out if there's nobody bad there. Just my theory.
We get windstorms in WA but not this fierce? I said in another thread that my huge chicken coop flipped over (2x) and landed on it's roof. I'm suspecting Weather Modification, actually.
What made me suspicious was that sure, there was wind and no power outage at all in our county, then hours later in a bright clear day there was a never explained power outage in only the areas with big infrastructure.
I did hear about the wind but I've lived here my whole life and never had a storm where the power stayed on, then a day later in clear skies a bunch of the state goes dark.
It wasn't the worst in 30 years here in Pierce county at all. About 5 years ago we all had to have roofs redone and this wasn't even that bad. We didn't lose power and then the next day when things were clear and fine they shut it off. Just made me suspicious.
Please check other posts about this. WA had really bad wind storms earlier this week and power is still out in some areas from it. Nothing new.

I agree

My brother is in Washington he shows me the postage map and said he had very bad storms the night before.
Windstorm.
They had 70 mph winds in parts of WA the other day.
Someone who lives out there said yesterday that that is fairly normal that they have occasional widespread outages.
Texas had one earlier.
We had a MASSIVE WIND STORM worst in 30 years
That's why

So this is why 2/3+ of our neighborhood needed to have our entire Roofs replaced? Ours was only 13 years old, Yikes!
Lin wood talked about that in a new video. He said tomorrow or Sat we may declare war with China.
