I think he's the type of person that exposed truthful things for the wrong reasons to damage institutions which had something to hide. There's a lot of gray area.

That said, his leaks about NSA mass surveillance was one of the reasons I voted for Trump in 2016, because I knew we were sailing headlong into a surveillance state and I hoped the wildcard candidate would dial it back.
