Thats when a term ends. Constitution says nothing about when a president is sworn in.
Remember a few days ago when it said on the State website that Trump and Pence’s term had ‘ended’, and people were freaking out? Well thats because they ended the term early so that they could be sworn back in for the second term.
What people dont know is that, on the 6th, when the electoral vote count was disrupted by the ‘Calamitous Attack on the Capitol’, while Nancy and the democrats were away, Pence stayed behind (with enough republicans to make a quorum) and opened and counted the Trump electors from the contested states(per the constitution)
Pence did pull the maneuver and saved the republic!
When they reconvened later that evening, that was all just for show. (Notice that Pence, not once, actually opened the envelopes with the certificates inside. He had already opened them earlier )
This is, of course, just a conspiracy theory (just for fun) and I have no way of knowing if it is true or not. So treat it with the appropriate skepticism
How would that even be possible? January 20th is the Inauguration Day.

I think you're onto something based on this comment.
Not for incumbent presidents.
