Sad to say somehow I raised a raging liberal. Not that he isn't surrounded by other family members that agree, but still. Anyway, I fear we may be one of those Civil War households. I told him to keep it down (playing a video game God this post just keeps getting more depressing) and he had a meltdown about how Trump is a fascist dictator. Didn't think it was the time to send this Babylon Bee article LOL. https://babylonbee.com/news/dangerous-fascist-dictator-censored-and-voted-out-of-office If there's any good news in this story, I think whatever HE reads to get his information must be chock full of pure PANIC. Otherwise you'd think he'd be glad to be rid of Orange Man Bad in a few days.

Are you kidding me? "Wear a mask" "Okay!" Stay home "Okay!" Stand 6 feet apart "Okay!" tell on your neighbors and scold other people "Okay!"
Oh, I thought you meant law, order, and self-discipline. lol
Actually I thought about it after I posted LOL. Seriously though, there is something about the lack of critical thinking that blows my mind. Stupid example. My son threw out maple syrup because the expiration date was past. By two days or something. Ironically i had a friend the same day tell me her son did the same thing with pancake mix. We both said some version of, "well, it's not pork or dairy, those are not really strict expiration dates." They literally didn't know what we were saying. It's why they don't question whether masks actually WORK. Or see the incongruity of closing churches and keeping casinos open. It is part of the teaching process, I believe. They don't just indoctrinate, they literally change the way the human brain processes information and somehow get these kids to eliminate critical thinking.
It's low information people who fall for the brainwashing. They literally don't know any better.
Part of it is the appeal to authority. They like an authority figure telling them what to do, because the authority figure must be right due to their degree. It's often about qualifications to them and the perception of their peers, i.e. group think.
These kids don't look to their parents as authority figures because the parents don't have degrees in everything and these people have been taught through the education system that self-learning is a bad thing and that they must get their education from trained and qualified teachers.
I've had discussions with kids online where they said it was impossible to teach yourself an instrument without formal lessons (I've taught myself multiple instruments).
I've been told that it is impossible for me to read scientific papers and understand them because I don't have a formal science degree.
I've even been told that a physicist can't possibly understand climate science because they weren't trained in climate science.
They've lost the ability, or never gained it, to think critically and for yourself.
I can only hope that once the good guys publicly destroy the globalists these wayward people might be jolted back into reality instead of the mind-fog-world they seem to inhabit.
All the best and don't give up on him. Not yet anyway.
I don't give up easy, LOL.
