The fight is for our kids.... the power struggle between the government and parents. If the takeover future Americans, there'll be no pesky cries for freedom.

My son took his oath there and participated in the reenactment... his might have been the last class... he graduates Monday and took the oath fall of 2018. Class of '23 may have... then covid, then wokeness, now they have removed it all. What is fantastically symbolic is the quote in barracks.... for ages it has read, "You may be whatever you resolve to be. -Stonewall Jackson." They whited out his name with paint under the quote last yead... but it was raised engraved lettering... so you can still see it. I love it. :)

There are some idiot leftist professors there... but still some good, solid ones. My son is an engineering major and most leftists are in the humanities. The pendulum swung so far so fast with the attempt to takeover the school and erase history that that the pushback has been hard too. I am hopeful the pendulum is reversing. The battle of Newmarket is interesting... the cadets were called on to come and assist the Confederates while they were still students, because the fight was so near. They got sent in, and I believe were the reason the Union got pushed back. Their young age and bravery were remarkable and I believe four of them were killed. I could ramble on but I won't... we're in Lexington this weekend for graduation! :)

My son is graduating from VMI. They moved the Stonewall Jackson statue, took his name off of Jackson Arch, and removed his name from the quote over the main barracks entrance. No one wanted the changes... it was pushed on everyone by a handful of woke political operatives. They also cancelled the Newmarket charge (cadet oath) and the reenactment. Bastards.

My unvaxxed sister had covid brought home by her mega-vaxxed husband. She got very sick but didn't want to seek medical help because of all that has been going on. They eventually took her to the hospital. Within 4 hours she went from good vitals to dead after they gave her a shot. No one knows what was in the shot. It was a complicated mess, but at the end of the day no one chose to explain to her brainwashed grieving husband what actually happened... out of kindness. She was 70 and he's 74.

Thank you for sharing this. I took my sons to Lexington and Concord. I was overwhelmed with emotion on the Old North Bridge. I can't explain why. It was just too much for me... I'm so grateful.

I've never looked at Constantine's supposed involvement in an edit, only his pagan influence on the church in general. However, being married to a man who enjoys researching the texts, the resurrection, creationism, and evolution... I'd have to say that influence never has come up. I can ask him or research it, but to address your main concern... yes my husband and I have both read C.S. Lewis and many other authors. All examine the evidence for Christ. That's how Lewis started his journey. My strongest source is my personal relationship with Jesus Christ, who I've known for a very long time now. He's real and has rescued me from myself more times than I can count. Through practical experience I've found the Word of God to be true, reliable, and trustworthy. It's why, though the enemy has tried to destroy me many times, God just works it all for my good. I've had my share of trouble, but how many women can claim what I can claim... by the measures that matter to me I'm incredibly blessed. God is good. His Word is true. I know nothing in life to be more true than God's love and faithfulness. His mercy to me is boundless...I could never describe his love adequately. He's done everything from leading me to a warehouse sale with the very thing I desperately wanted in it... to binding up my wounds and giving me joy in my darkest moments. Jesus IS the Word. The Word is living and it heals people.

A long time local restaurant near us is closing this week. They have tons of customers, but can't get help. The owner almost started crying when she told us Friday. Her physical and mental health are at a point where she just decided she's done.

Your absolutely, fundamental missing piece is that God's Word is the source of all Truth, and Jesus is both the "way, the truth, and the light." In John we learned, " In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word WAS God...He was with God in the beginning."

I would encourage you to also include the trivium: the biblical trivium is knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. The classical (Greek, Roman) trivium was grammar, logic, and rhetoric. An excellent book is Teaching the Trivium: Christian Homeschooling in a Classical Style. Edit: typo
