I believe the extinguished lanterns indicate a 3rd scenario.......that they're already here.

When this first came out we were perplexed by the fact they weren't lit.
China owns the majority of the large companies we buy from and do business with. So we have been supporting them, on our soil, for years. They have also bought up land. They are so imbedded in the US at this point no matter which way you look....its China.
They're here and they came by sea. Shipping companies?
