Please do not not interpret this as a Doomer post. Not my intent. However there are a lot of smart people on the other side of the fence who have to be sitting down and cracking the code as we are, especially in high places.

What is stopping them from countering?

In my opinion, the left has been in a go-for-broke position since before the election. If Trump got a second term, whole swaths of the FBI since he no longer fears re-election. Now the left has crossed their own Rubicon, they have no choice than to barrel forward. The choice has been made, so to speak.

They have to be reading what seems to be going down. Are they hoping Biden will be ignagurated smoothly and everything will go back to the way things were?
