The word "patriot" is offensive to the corporation that is the US by the Act of 1871, because it represents patriotism towards the original US that was a republic. The word "patriot" originates from the latin word "patria", which translates to "homeland, country". A corporation is not a country, because those two are legally distinct entities. Hence the word "patriot" is offensive to the corporation of US, because it doesn't represent support for the corporation.

Back in the year 17ad the tribes got together and they established the first governing body that told the people if they were hunters or gatherers. This worked out for a while until a group formed to take back their freedom. The held a riot and over threw the established "leaders". The man in charge of the riot was named Pat. Hence Patriot. You know, its science.
