Legitimate question: If swearing in doesn't officially require a chief justice or a particular location then how can he be denied swearing in if his neighbor can do it for him from Joe's basement?
I've been thinking along same lines the past few days. And that USSS line in the REDx countdown (#4144) is screaming at me this entire week, there must be some relevance to it that goes beyond "protect POTUS", which they already do. Until 11:59PM Jan. 20 POTUS is still in charge of USSS, no? So, who could arrest Xiden, or KEEP PEOPLE AWAY from Xiden until Noon? They must pass some sort of clearance first through the higher command, no? No way USSS is so clearly mentioned without being key cog.
Could also mean another thing, of course, its just a crap shoot right now trying to guess. Another function of USSS is to protect US currency, of course, and that is where Fed Reserve comes in (or its take down by Trump). With Fed Reserve having its own highly capable small army and I am not completely clear on the interaction of USSS and them.

Interesting. The suspense is brutal.
