What a BS article, oh wait .... Bloomberg. Obvious intentional disinformation.

"The licensees, which would include Citizens Band radios, Family Radio Service walkie-talkies, and General Mobile Radio Service, would face fines, seizure of their equipment and possible criminal prosecution."

From 'FCC47 C.F.R. Part 95': "An individual license is not required to operate a CB station and the FCC does not renew formerly issued CB Radio Service licenses."

GMRS? Yes, you need a license. Easy to get and nothing like the HAM (tech,gen,or xtra) licenses.
